Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

The Club has an AED which is kept at the Front Desk.  An AED is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.  It is a portable medical device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

The following video provides training on the use of the Club’s AED.  Note that it does not provide instruction on general first aid or CPR – there are many local courses available and we strongly encourage you to get certified!
